Some of the best sushi I have ever had. Such a huge menu to choose from if you dont love sushi (picked a Korean rice bowl dish as our main meal). Excellent customer service. Would drive an hour to go back!

Eat here whenever we pass thru Cañon City. Great food & great prices. Honey ginger lettuce wraps (4) were delicious. Appetizer portion of sashimi trio was huge. Mongolian beef just yummy. ALL dishes are big enough to share so prices are very fair. Service was very friendly.

Momo's is a very solid Japanese joint. Some of the better variety for sushi that I've had. I've had sushi in countless states, costal included and I can still say that their rolls are great! My personal favorite is the Anaheim, then the Vegas and Dynamite etc. I also enjoy the Blazing Noodles, very fresh vegetables and seasonings. For Canon City you can't find a better place for eating out.

It's better than I would think I could get in Canon City. Is it the best sushi restaurant around? Absolutely not and you should temper your expectations when you go to a sushi restaurant in a small town like this. The sushi cuts are large but aren't cut very well so it is obvious that they don't have some famed sushi chef behind the bar. The bento box came with a lot of stuff, all of which was pretty good. The guy at the front remembered me, possibly because there are not many Asian patrons of the restaurant which was nice. He is very nice and accommodating. So overall, not much to complain and I think it's a solid choice in Canon

Momos provides an incredible big city experience in a small town where there are few other choices. I have been eating here for several years and each meal has been divine. I believe in eating clean and this place always delivers. I recently had the Kung Pao with chicken and it was incredible as we're the dan dan noodles and my floor diners pad thai was fabulous. My husband is vegetarian and feels momos is an incredible special place. The service is always good. Cordial and friendly.

We're Cañon City locals and have long recommended Momo's as the best overall restaurant in town. It still is, but they very recently changed their menu and have raised prices so much that we'll go from being once-a-month to maybe once or twice a year customers. One doesn't expect sushi to be cheap, but with a Bento box now $13 and the cheapest lunch item (a rice bowl) at $10 two people are looking at at least $30 for lunch with just water to drink. The food is still good, but is it twice as good as the Chinese down the road at China Garden (or half as good as the Barbecue at Chicago Bob's, where a pound of pulled pork is $9 and a sandwich that feeds two is even less? No way. It remains an excellent restaurant, but by pricing themselves for Cherry Creek in Denver rather than the working class community they're in they've turned themselves into a tourist and special occasion place. Too bad.

Food is good - service is lackluster at best. The servers don't know what their doing - perpetually leave items off of the entree, forgetting entire entree's, bringing meals before soup and salad, etc. if the food weren't good we wouldn't tolerate the poor service. Sad that we make due in our small town.

Pleasantly surprised, but certainly some room for improvement. The 3 star rating on yelp is for A-OK, and I feel like this place certainly is that. The bad: 1) The sushi makers LOUDLY yelling each table number when it was ready 2) The Servers not responding quickly 3) The sushi makers then LOUDLY complaining to each other how bad the servers are. Just reaked of unprofessional-ism 4) The Albacore sashimi, it was not good, tasted old 5) The presentation, rolls were not super tight, looked sloppy The Good: 1) The salmon, dear god their salmon was good. The base sashimi was as good or better than high end fatty salmons at higher end places. 2) The rolls were pretty tasty on a whole 3) Service was friendly 4) Decore was nice. 5) Did I mention the Salmon? As it was amazing. Overall, we were pleased, and pleasantly surprised, and will hopefully check it out again.

Worst experience of my entire life. It started with a relatively simple problem. We got fried chicken instead of grilled chicken. It didn't say on the menu that fried chicken would be served instead of grilled. Instead of solving the simple problem. The owner berated us over his food. He got in my face and screamed about how it was his choice to use fried chicken in the meal. I had to leave and couldn't even finish my meal due to the way we were treated.

The owner was disrespectful. We ordered grilled chicken and we got fried chicken. The owner wanted to charge us to change it to grilled and was condescending.

Great place to eat. I have been here many times, and the portions are great. The sushi is amazing. I think it is the best sushi I have been able to find in Colorado.

Americans trying real hard to be Japanese. Extensive menu, but food lacks a little. Nothing special. A good choice for Cañon City. Bring your wallet. The jungle curry (coconut milk sauce) was decent. Brown rice was piled high. Good portion size for $12. Not an expert on sushi, so can't say too much. The little I've had was OK.

I love the food here. There hasn't been one time where I've eaten here and the food isn't good. The only reason i didn't give 5 stars would be because ever since they hired some new waiters and waitresses the service has gone down. One server in particular is awful, her name is Nikki, not a good waitress at all. Overall a great restaurant, kinda small but good food and medicore service.

Ummmmmm...no. I have had Japanese...this was a sorry excuse for it. The miso soup and salad were good and gave me a false sense that the teriyaki chicken bento box would be good as well. It wasn't. The teriyaki chicken was lacking and pretty bland. The worst part was the "California rolls". There was some sort of paste in them rather than distinguishable crab or even imitation crab. Others in the restaurant seemed pleased with their choices and food, so maybe it was just me, but knowing that my favorite Japanese food was only 46 miles away makes it impossible for me to return here.

First off, the parking lot is extremely small, considering they share it with a sports bar and a couple other businesses. Secondly, we walked in and I was surprised at how small the interior was. 4 booths and a handful of tables that were really close to each other. We did have to wait and I noticed that the staff seemed rushed. We were able to catch a table after waiting about 10 minutes, which was fine. We decided to order the downtown roll as an appetizer. Now this roll was unique in that it had a very thinly sliced strawberry on top, which unfortunately you couldn't taste. Though we would love to order this again. But first I have to comment on the salad with sesame miso, and oh my goodness I could literally drink this dressing. Very sesamey and garlicy, yep, just made up new words :). One thing I would question is the miso soup. Somehow the mushrooms tasted old as they were very rubbery. Umm, maybe not fresh? I got the beef blazing noodle dish and my husband ordered the fish udon soup. Mine was good, though next time no Thai basil. My husband loved his soup, unfortunately the menu said that it was a fish broth. Tasted more like miso soup with other ingredients thrown in. Unlike what another review said, the sushi chefs yelling the table number isn't a downside. You hear that a lot in sushi restaurants. Otherwise, how will the servers know that their table's sushi is ready??? Had to comment on that. Now on to the bad. The really big thing is the desert. We wanted the banana spring rolls, and even though I read the description I must have missed the part that said chocolate sauce. As you all know by now, I'm allergic to chocolate. Anyways, we let our server know and though she seemed flustered, she did get a manager. This is where it gets less a star. The manager, I think as she was the only one wearing keys, And yes I told the server that I must have read the description too quickly and missed the chocolate sauce. The "manager" came over and made a point that what we received was my fault. She then proceeded to tell us that unless someone in the kitchen doesn't buy the desert, there's nothing she can do for us. Really??? So someone can become sick because the manager won't be accommodating for someone with an allergic reaction. Ok, so I'll eat it, then sue you. YEA!!! But I'm not that person. The "manager" also made a point that if someone buys it and the fryers aren't turned off, then she'll have another one come out. I understand if the fryer is off, considering it's practically closing time, but if you don't want to remake it just because, then take it off the bill. We did end up getting another one. But it was her attitude that threw me off. When she brought out the remake, she once again made a point that, "If you have an allergy, tell the staff member ahead of time." In a sarcastic snotty attitude. Managers should not be like this, and instead try to accommodate the customer. Would I recommend this place? Sadly yes. They have great sushi and other entrees. Though I'd advise to not order desert and to really make sure you read the description completely.

Momos is a diamond in the rough. So few places to eat in Fremont county. The owners are local. The effort that they put into to creating this restaurant is commendable! The food and service are excellent! Ask for Amber, she is usually our waitress and does a wonderful job!

Love this place. Leave the hustle and bustle behind and enjoy this laid back Asian environment. I have never had a bad meal here. Amber is a fantastic server we love Amber!

Let me first say that I have been very, VERY spoiled by our favorite restaurants in other areas of Colorado...and that probably makes my review harsher than the average sushi seeker's. That said, I'm still rather impressed to see this kind of restaurant available in a place like Canon City. The location is lacking, but again, this is Canon City--it's to be expected. Very clean, tidy but small location in a shopping center. The seating was cramped and uncomfortable, and there was incredibly obnoxious music playing. The music wasn't much of an issue, as two huge tables in the middle of the tiny restaurant were making enough noise to drown it out. I expect that level of noise at, say, a burger chain restaurant. I don't expect it at a Japanese restaurant. I also don't expect to have a fork be the default, and have to ASK for chopsticks...but yet again, Canon City. It's to be expected, I suppose. Service was fine. Our waitress was friendly enough, if not the most attentive. The food...I'm torn on this. The sashimi we had was rather tasty, and much fresher than I expected in a place like Canon City, but the portions (especially for the price) were pathetically small. I have absolutely no idea what the chunky red sauce they tried to serve with the sashimi was supposed to be, but we promptly sent it back. The "specialty" rolls we tried were also very small and overpriced, but the ingredients seemed fresh. And a minor thing, but their menu seems to imply that their "freshly brewed green tea" can be served hot OR cold (as I've seen in most Japanese restaurants), but the iced green tea I got was sweetened, watery and definitely not freshly brewed. The waitress was gracious about taking it away, and I stuck to water for the rest of the meal. All in all, definitely better than I expected from Canon City...but compared to other Japanese and/or sushi restaurants we've been to, Momo has a long way to go. Good for a quick "emergency" sushi fix, but we'll continue making the short drive to Colorado Springs when we want quality sushi and a decent dining experience.

Consistently the best food in the area! From sushi to Yakisoba.. All around fresh flavors and wide variety. I have eaten at many Japanese restaurants and MoMos ranks amoung the very best.. Don't let the small town stereotype give you the wrong impression, this place is big city flavor.

Wow, what a pleasant surprise! I eat sushi on a regular basis, and normally I would expect that a sushi restaurant way out in the middle of nowhere (as Canon City basically is, in Colorado) would either have poor quality fish or ridiculously high prices. I found neither of those in this restaurant. The fish was surprisingly fresh and delicious, and the prices were extremely reasonable. I don't travel through Canon City too often, but whenever I do, I will definitely make it a point to try to eat here again.

We were at the Abby Winery and asked about local restaurants. The lady said we had to try MoMo. Wow! The staff was very fast and helpful. John took us under his wing and helped us order. The prize was one of the chef's own creations with raw, crunchy jalapeños. Fantastic!!! They took amazing care of us, and the chef took the time to come out and talk to us. Do yourself a favor and check these guys out.

The sushi was great, with a very nice selection and variety of ways to piece together the meal. Being from Reno, I prefer all-you-can-eat as an option, and always wish I could find more places that did it, but this one does not have that available. However, the dinner rolls, though obviously more expensive, are well worth the a la carte prices, which is impressive, since there aren't too many sushi restaurants that make a single roll worth the prices they usually ask. The space is very small and somewhat cramped, especially during the dinner or lunch rush, but the waiters are very friendly and attentive, and more than make up for the lack of space. Very much recommend this restaurant. It's a very pleasant surprise in Canon City.

My husband and I are locals and we love Momo, have not had a bad meal so far. Neither us are big on rolls so we get their rice or noodle bowls, very good. I am trying to work my way through the menu, something different every time we go. It is a little pricy but we always go away full and happy. It is without a doubt one of the very best places to eat in Canon City.

Best sushi I've ever had!! Great service. Big menu for non-sushi eaters, although you're crazy not to try their rolls. They're also consistent; I've never had a bad, or even mediocre, experience. I would eat here every day if I could...

I was surprised by the large menu. We got 3 rolls recommended by our waitress, and the crab wontons. The portions seemed larger than a typical roll as well. All was very good, one was quite inventive, like a spicy philly cheese steak. It was surprisingly good sushi in Canon City. The kids menu looked promising and when it came out it looked good too, but the chicken was a sliced frozen chicken breast and dry. While that was unfortunate, everything else was great.

I liked it, food was good, wait staff was good. My SO didn't like the sweetness of the sauces. It's an option.
